André De Souza,DDS,DMD,MSc.

Dr. André De Souza has more than 10 years of experience in the field of periodontics and dental implant surgery and currently works as an Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

He was recipient of the ITI Scholarship and conducted a Dental Implant Fellowship program at Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM).


Dr.De Souza has dual dental degrees from the State University of
Maringá, Brazil (DDS) and from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine,Boston (DMD). He also obtained his specialty training in Periodontology and Master’s degree (MSc) from Brazil.

He is actively involved in research in the field of Periodontology and
Implant Dentistry and has several articles published in peer-reviewed journals. He is also an ITI (International Team of Implantology) Member, Fellow and Speaker, co-chair of the Tufts University ITI Scholarship Center and active member of the Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society.


During his free time, he enjoys playing soccer,biking, snowboarding and spending time with his wife Paula and his two year old son Daniel.
